My Dear Parishioners, School Community Members, Neighbors, and Friends-
Today, I call upon all to pray for our Catholic brothers and sisters of Ukraine as well as Orthodox Christians and all people of Ukraine. As this horrific crisis continues to evolve, our faithful duty is to pray for quick resolve through the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary, Queen of Peace. Let us call to mind those who have perished, the injured, those seeking safe passage, the families separated from loved ones, and the Holy Church.
As we stand with Catholics worldwide, let us pay attention to the appeal given by Greek Catholic Archbishop His Beatitude Sviatoslav. His heartfelt message regarding the outbreak of war in Ukraine was delivered yesterday from the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Kyiv. With one heart, we pray: “Lord, Great, and Almighty, protect our beloved Ukraine! Holy righteous people, martyrs, and confessors of the Ukrainian land pray and intercede for us before God!”
In Jesus and Mary,
Rev. Fr. Robert A. Romeo
