St. Mary's Good Samaritan House will begin another support group for the bereaved and those struggling with unresolved loss starting January 30, 2025. The sessions will take place on Thursdays from 1:30 - 3:00 PM for eight consecutive weeks.
The primary goals of the group are to help the participants learn about the grief process, develop skills to manage their grief, and help them adjust to living in a world without the deceased. The group is open to anyone who has lost a spouse, partner, parent, child, or sibling – including non-parishioners and people of other faiths.
At St. Mary's, we welcome people of all faiths to participate in our bereavement sessions. However, it should be noted that our bereavement course, at times, will utilize the Catholic Faith, through prayer, bible references and Catholic poems, to assist in the healing process.
There is a one-time registration fee of $10.00 to cover the costs of the course. To register for the group, please make a check payable to “St. Mary’s Good Samaritan House” and mail it to the
